DAVID: Obama wants to study the brain as this optimistic article shows. The statements avoid the issue of consciousness. All sound like purely materialism research to me:-http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424127887323646604578405073343715596.html-Unfortunately, this article is only available to subscribers, but if it avoids the issue of consciousness, isn't it a bit like studying theology without God?
