A New Year Anniversary (General)

Tony: A hearty handshake (or hug for the huggers) and best wishes to all. One of these days I may actually have internet again, and I look forward to rejoining the discussions. Currently, I have to use my phone to post anything, which is a pain, but I still follow the discussions through rss feeds.

To any and all who wander in to this place, I hope you stay, despite any frustration you may feel at being questioned and argued against. I have searched long and hard, but I have never encountered such an educated, caring, and lively bunch that are willing to truly dig in to the deeper questions of life and our existence.

DHW and David, you two especially I would like to thank. You welcomed me, challenged me, and encouraged me over the years. It did not go unnoticed or unappreciated, and I truly hope that others find the same refreshment here that I have. All of the best to you, friends and strangers alike. Keep your minds open and your wits sharp.

I certainly will. For me personally it’s the most moving post in the ten years of the website’s history. Our discussions are sometimes fierce, and I must confess there is always the fear that people might be offended, so I can’t tell you, Tony, how much I appreciate your insight into the ethos that lies at the heart of our debates. I’ll look forward very much to your rejoining us when you can, but in the meantime thank you for this heart-warming message.
