Fetal brain development (reply)

Studies in newborn mice, eyes still closed, show retinal and brain activity that is guiding the spread of fibers to allow vision. In fetal development a construction plan has to be followed, much as in building a building from scratch. This research is a glimpse of a tiny part of the overall plan.-http://medicalxpress.com/news/2012-10-fetal-neural-vision.html

Fetal brain development (reply)

Chimp vs. human; stating the obvious:
>
> http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2012/09/120924142922.htm-But there are many more differences as the following article demonstrates. Chimp development is rapid and shuts down at sexual maturity. Ours continues to change and develop well beyond physical maturity, which allows for plasticity and much more complexity. On this basis I propose that we are really not in the Primate family, but something very different. Just judging by arms and legs is superficial. Our postures and locomotion are very different. And our brains are enormously diffferent. -http://medicalxpress.com/news/2012-09-myelin-differences-chimps-humans.html
