I remember the issue when I was in practice.-Doctors have recognized the value of not using blood. A bloodless bypass machine was developed years ago for open-heart surgery with excellent results. Also, as mentioned, giving blood in advance for oneself has been standard for year. On the other hand safe factor 8 is extremely helpful, and the drug that helped save the two volunteers who came home recently, used antibody factors from blood and from genetic playing with the tobacco plant.
